The History of Villa Elisa

a century of hospitality

An elegant hotel with historic charm

Our story begins way back in 1909, in the era of the Belle Époque, when Antonio Oggeroafter tourism experiences in Europe, he chose to settle in Bordighera, a charming village on the edge of France. From that moment on, his story was intertwined with prestigious hotels such as the Beau Rivage, the Hotel Centrale and the Hotel Quisisana, until he fell in love with the magnificent mansion, Villa Elisa, transforming it into a renowned hotel.

Giovanni, following in his father's footsteps with his wife Giuseppina, passionately ran the hotel until the 1980s, when his son Maurizio, ably assisted by his wife Rita, took the helm. With the same commitment as his predecessors, Villa Elisa has evolved over time into an elegant hotel with a wellness centre.

A family with a passion for hospitality

Thanks to the enthusiasm of their four children - Francesca, Elisa, Stefano and Carolina - the hotel continues to shine in its enchanting garden, keeping alive the tradition of hospitality and welcome that has distinguished the family since the early 20th century.
